Position: Custodian

Job Duties:

The Custodian is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of cleanliness of all rooms and public spaces on the property. The Custodian will report to the Housekeeping Manager.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in the day-to-day operation of the department, ensuring service standards are followed
  • Ensure furnishings, facilities and equipment are clean and in repair, well maintained and replaced/refurbished as required
  • Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and lounges as well as guest rooms
  • Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, and mini bar
  • Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses, etc
  • Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
  • Remove room service items
  • Organize and restock linen closet at the end of the shift
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
  • Observe and report damage of hotel property
  • Maintain turndown service for rooms as directed by the Housekeeping Manager


  • Minimum 1-year custodian experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and developed organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
